Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 15, 2026
This policy explains how LeadVault ("LeadVault," "we," "us") handles information collected through leadvaultdata.com — from visitors browsing the site and from people who submit our forms (the survey, newsletter signup, portal waitlist, or a removal request).
This is separate from how LeadVault sources and handles the contact data within the datasets we sell — that's covered by our Data Sourcing Policy.
Information We Collect
Information you give us directly, when you submit a form on this site:
- The contact survey: full name, business name (optional), email, phone/WhatsApp number, country, industry, and details about the data you're looking for.
- Newsletter signup: your email address.
- Data Catalog portal waitlist: your email address.
- Removal requests: your name, contact details, and the record(s) you want reviewed.
Information collected automatically, as you browse the site:
- Standard hosting/CDN logs (via Netlify) — IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps.
- Analytics — Google Analytics 4 and the Meta Pixel, which use cookies and similar technologies to measure site usage and ad performance. See "Cookies & Tracking" below.
How We Use Your Information
- To respond to your inquiry and prepare the data recommendation, quote, or service you requested.
- To deliver purchased datasets, campaign services, or subscriptions.
- To send the newsletter or service updates you opted into — you can unsubscribe at any time.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it (aggregate analytics).
- To detect and prevent fraudulent or abusive form submissions.
Cookies & Tracking Technologies
This site uses Google Analytics 4 and the Meta Pixel, both of which set cookies and collect usage data on our behalf. These tools are provided by Google and Meta, and your interaction with them is also subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Meta's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, and manage ad personalization for Meta in your Facebook Ad Preferences. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies directly in your settings.
How We Share Information
We share the information described above only with:
- Service providers who help us run the site and process submissions — currently Netlify (hosting and form handling), Google (analytics), and Meta (advertising analytics).
- Law enforcement or regulators, if required to comply with a legal obligation.
We do not sell the information you submit through our forms to third parties for their own marketing purposes. (This is distinct from LeadVault's core service, which sources and sells datasets about businesses and professionals who are not our website visitors or customers — see the Data Sourcing Policy for how that data is handled.)
Data Retention
We keep form submissions for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry, deliver the service you ordered, and meet our own record-keeping and legal obligations, after which we delete or anonymize it. Newsletter and waitlist emails are kept until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
Your Rights
Depending on where you're located, you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, use our Removal Request page or email us directly. We aim to align our practices with the principles of the Nigeria Data Protection Act and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for applicable users.
International Data Transfers
LeadVault operates from Nigeria and the United States. Information you submit may be processed and stored in either country, or by our service providers' infrastructure, which may be located elsewhere. We take reasonable steps to protect information wherever it's processed.
Children's Privacy
This site and our services are intended for businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from children, and our forms are not directed at anyone under 18.
Security
We use encryption, access controls, and secure delivery methods appropriate to the type of data involved. No online system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable, industry-standard steps to protect the information we hold.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our practices or the law changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
